For 997 MK1 GT3 & GT3RS
This set of stainless steel coolant lines replaces the weak, failure-prone original plastic units.
This item is considered a preventive measure and should be installed on the 997.1 GT3 (2006-2008), 997.1 GT3RS (2006-2009) models.
This product fixes a known issue related to the plastic coolant manifolds that lead to the two oil coolers (also known as heat exchangers). These pipes are originally made of plastic and have a very thin wall in the sealing area. The problem is that over time and mileage, the thin plastic wall breaks at the O-ring slot (its weakest and thinnest point) creating a crack. Eventually the entire engine has to be removed to replace a cheap plastic pipe. These two issues have also been seen on the 997 Turbo, GT2 & GT2RS.
Assembly in our house possible for an additional charge! (Includes engine removal and disassembly of parts)
During assembly, it is recommended to replace the water hoses and re-glue the aluminum connections of the water console.
